Sir Keir Starmer will push allies to supply Ukraine with more extended-range weaponry to target Moscow's positions during a meeting in Britain on Friday.

The prime minister is set to welcome Ukrainian President the Ukrainian head of state alongside referred to as "group of committed partners", comprising more than 20 of supporting nations who have agreed to provide the Ukrainian government protection commitments once a ceasefire is brokered.

The Ukrainian leader has been pleading for an extended period for further advanced missile technology from allied countries, a step that the Russian government has stated would escalate the war.

The Ukrainian president is travelling from Brussels, where he conferred with European Union officials on yesterday pursuing funding aid.

"The single figure participating in the ongoing war who does not want to halt the fighting is President Putin," Sir Keir remarked.

Britain's leader furthermore announce that a hundred additional air defence missiles will be delivered to Kyiv ahead of schedule, as detailed in a substantial financial arrangement reached between Britain and Ukraine in March.

Diplomatic Momentum

The Ukrainian president comes off the back of two diplomatic wins recently: Washington's action to finally apply further sanctions against Russia, and EU nations consenting to support a Ukrainian budget hole.

Sir Keir is aiming to sustain the momentum by intensifying the leverage on Russia to discuss a conclusion to the conflict.

Britain's leader will press delegates to increase the supply of extended-range systems following a productive operation on a chemical plant in Bryansk, the Russian Federation, using British-supplied missile systems.

"And his horrific attacks on small children in a preschool recently make that abundantly clear," he added.

Several minors were among no fewer than seven fatally wounded in numerous enemy assaults on Ukrainian territory, which struck a nursery in the major urban center Ukraine's second city.

Budgetary Negotiations

Britain's leader will discuss with partner nations on how to take Russia's petroleum resources from international trade.

They will also examine utilizing seized Moscow funds to offer Ukraine with monetary support, although the plan faced insufficient agreement and legal hurdles at the Brussels summit on the previous day.

The EU stopped short of approving an initiative to employ up to €140bn in frozen Russian assets to economically support Ukraine.

Nonetheless, the delegates decided to help support Kyiv's "economic requirements" for the next two years.

The US also disclosed measures on Wednesday against Moscow's two largest energy corporations, Rosneft Oil and Lukoil Corporation, as element of actions to apply financial pressure on Moscow to enter peace talks.

The Russian government launched its comprehensive attack of Ukraine in February 2022. The invading forces currently holds about 20% of Ukraine's soil, encompassing the Crimean peninsula Moscow seized in 2014.
